ABOUT

Engine: Inline 6-cylinder 7.4 litre side valve | Transmission: 4-speed manual | Bodystyle: Parade car

Marque and model history: Rolls-Royce has always been known to make the best cars in the world – but that title was first bestowed on the Silver Ghost in 1907. The cars earned their title thanks to their terrific engineering and design – cars were tested for thousands of miles across very harsh terrain, and then examined for wear and tear. On inspection the cars showed almost no wear, and minimal cost to return to as new condition – thus cementing Rolls-Royces reputation for generations to come. Naturally soon after launch, a large number of Rolls-Royce Silver Ghosts were sold to India as well, where they excelled in the primitive road conditions prevalent at the time.

Provenance: This 1923 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost was built as a tribute to the famous Mysore Silver Ghost parade car. Originally a Windovers Limousine, the car now wears a replica body of the Mysore car used for special ceremonies and state events
